If you’re an Architectural Technician or Technologist who loves the detail, wants to see your work brought to life locally, and is ready to play a key part in shaping high-quality homes across Perthshire and beyond, this role could be right up your street. Based just outside Perth, this is a chance to join a well-established, family-run housebuilder with a strong track record and real design ambition. They’ve been quietly shaping Scotland’s residential landscape for over 50 years, and while their roots are traditional, their mindset is modern. With a mix of high-spec private homes, affordable housing schemes, and a growing stream of bespoke conversions and extensions, no two weeks are ever quite the same here. The role itself sits within a small, in-house architectural team where your input will actually matter. You’ll be involved across RIBA Stages 3–6, producing technical drawings and specifications, overseeing planning and building warrant submissions, and working closely with site teams to deliver projects from the ground up. There’s a real sense of continuity in the work here - you’ll not only see your drawings built, but be involved in troubleshooting, refining, and celebrating the finished product. That feedback loop is one of the things their team values most. Your core toolkit will likely include AutoCAD, with Revit experience a strong bonus. Timber frame detailing experience would be ideal, but more than anything, they’re looking for someone who knows the practical realities of delivering a building and has the kind of technical eye that instinctively picks up on what works - and what doesn’t - before a brick is laid. The company is growing steadily and sensibly, and with a new focus on expanding their small works division, there’s scope here to carve out a niche in either new builds or smaller one-off projects depending on where your interests lie. They’ve got a reputation for quality and consistency, and they’re proud of it - but they’re also open to new ideas and better ways of doing things. If you like being in an environment where tradition and innovation coexist rather than compete, you’ll probably fit right in. This is a full-time role, office-based, with plenty of flexibility once you’re settled. The salary on offer is around £35,000 to £45,000 depending on your experience, and there’s a full suite of benefits including pension, holidays, and the kind of stability that comes from being part of a business that isn’t trying to grow too fast or cut corners. If you’re based in or near Perthshire this could be the move that lets you do meaningful work, with people who care about getting the details right. Curious to know more?
