Position Overview
Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Intern to join the Starline Team in Reading, UK. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to core HR functions and is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
Location: Reading, UK (site‑based). Travel: None.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in filing, organising, and maintaining employee documentation and digital HR records.
* Update and maintain employee data in HR systems, SharePoint, and Excel trackers.
* Support compliance checks, right‑to‑work documentation, and audit preparation.
* Assist in managing confidential employee files and maintaining GDPR standards.
* Prepare welcome packs and induction schedules.
* Help coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communication.
* Support HR‑led initiatives such as engagement activities, recognition programmes, and employee surveys.
* Draft basic HR communications (email templates, notices, reminders).
* Support meeting scheduling, minute‑taking, and follow‑up actions.
* Assist with office admin tasks such as document formatting, printing, organising files, and supplies tracking.
Qualifications
* Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Operations, or a related field.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, basic formulas, filtering) and PowerPoint (slides, formatting).
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Proactive, reliable, and able to work collaboratively within a team.
