Role Description
This is a full-time or part-time, on-site Optical Assistant role located in Carlisle. The Optical Assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with frame selection, performing basic optical measurements, and managing administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records. The role also involves supporting optometrists during eye examinations and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to build rapport with patients
Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to ensure customer satisfaction
Basic knowledge of Optometry practices and procedures is a plus
Ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail, organisational skills, and reliability
Previous experience in a healthcare or optical setting is beneficial
High school diploma or equivalent; further relevant training or certification is a plus
