Overview
The Division of Psychiatry and Medicine within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking up to two full-time academic psychiatrists for its Inpatient Consultation Liaison Service on its Moses Campus and a full-time academic psychiatrist to join our Abdominal Transplant Service.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct in-patient consultation care and supervise trainees’ consults, division, and departmental activities within the Consultation Liaison Psychiatry service.
* Work with the Abdominal Transplant Psychiatry team, sharing all resources of a busy transplant center; collaborate with administrative staff, social workers, pharmacists, psychologists, care coordinators, nutritionists, and interdisciplinary doctors.
* Embed within the Transplant Center while remaining an active part of the Consultation Liaison Team.
* Participate in education and training of medical students, Psychiatry and Neurology residents, Consultation Liaison and Addiction Fellows, and Psychology Interns.
Qualifications
* Eligible applicants are board certified or eligible in psychiatry.
* Additional training in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and/or Addictions Psychiatry is highly encouraged but not required.
