About the Role
This is a key senior leadership role, working closely with the Director of Finance and wider executive team to ensure financial sustainability, support strategic growth, and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting.
* Support organisational decision-making through high-quality analysis and forecasting.
* Oversee budgeting, financial planning, statutory accounts, and audit processes.
* Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, controls, and processes.
* Provide commercial and financial support across operations, including contracts and funding.
* Play a key role in managing financial risk, cash flow, and long-term sustainability.
* Contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to strategic planning and delivery.
Qualifications
* A recognised accountancy qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
Required Skills
* Strong post-qualified experience, ideally within a complex or regulated environment.
* Proven leadership experience managing and developing finance teams.
* Expertise in financial planning, reporting, and governance.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior level.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset aligned with a collaborative, purpose-led culture.
* Experience in an environment with exposure to local authority or government commercial contract awards.
Preferred Skills
* Experience in the charity, public, or social care sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
Pay range and compensation package
£68K + Various Benefits with more details available upon application.
