Overview
Birmingham Children’s Trust is recruiting for a role within the Children with Disabilities Team. The post involves specialised social work and making holistic threshold decisions guided by the Right Help Right Time document. The role requires adherence to tight timescales to address immediate safeguarding concerns and provide appropriate support and signposting. The organisation aims to foster a nurturing environment, maintain manageable caseloads, and support continuous professional growth while placing the child at the forefront of all work.
You will be joining a hardworking and dedicated team of social workers working with some of our most vulnerable children and families. Our social workers are passionate and committed to making a difference in the lives of children.
Responsibilities
* Engage in specialised social work within the Children with Disabilities Team.
* Make holistic threshold decisions guided by the Right Help Right Time framework.
* Adhere to tight timescales to address immediate safeguarding concerns and provide appropriate support and signposting.
* Collaborate with colleagues to prioritise the needs of children and families and ensure best outcomes.
Qualifications
* A degree in Social Work and completion of ASYE.
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Experience working with children and families in a social work setting.
* Strong assessment and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Requirements
* Hybrid role based in Birmingham; you must reside within a suitable commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available.
