Job Title
Fun, energetic and caring Weekend and School Holidays Carer required for 16 year old boy with autism and learning disability (Southside).
About the Role
We are looking for an energetic, reliable and caring individual to assist with our 16 year old son. He has autism and a learning disability and is non-verbal, but he’s very smiley and responsive to the right person.
Responsibilities
* Assist with personal care needs.
* Provide close supervision and road safety at all times.
* Accompany him on trips to the playground, the beach, museums and zoo.
* Support his enjoyment of musical instruments.
Availability
Up to 8 hours per week over the weekend (e.g., Friday evenings and/or weekend mornings or afternoons). Also availability needed during school holidays.
Pay & Availability
The rate of pay is £17.50-20/hour, depending on experience, and the position is available from February 2026.
Qualifications
Ideally someone with experience of working with a young person with a learning disability, and who is a PVG scheme member or willing to join the scheme. References will be required.
