As a Senior Business Change Manager, do you have the skills to create the framework needed at Money and Pensions Service to drive change within the business?� Once embedded the Senior Business Change Manager will then lead on development and implementation, working with all areas of the business to ensure alignment through all change activities.� This is very much a �hands on� role and needs somebody who can create the framework, methodologies and then work collaboratively across multiple teams to make change happen.�
The Role:
Money and Pensions Service has a new opportunity for a Senior Business Change Manager to join a mission driven organisation to help transform the lives of UK citizens.
Just over 12 months ago, MaPS created a single Change Portfolio with a view to improve maturity in this key department. The new role of a Senior Business Change Manager will be critical in evolving MaPS business change framework and supporting the Head of Change Portfolio to develop the business change service across the Programme and Project Change Portfolio.
This new role will be instrumental in leading the development and the implementation of MaPS business change capability in line with its programme and project governance.�
Job description
Key Accountabilities:
1. Lead on the development and implementation of a process to consider the business change aspects of projects and programmes, ensuring new initiatives are successfully transitioned into business as usual and business benefits are realised.
2. Successfully introduce and embed the business change aspects of the project and programme Centre of Excellence at MaPS. Provide direction, guidance and coaching to teams, and more broadly across the Change Portfolio.
3. Develop and implement a suite of change management methodologies and create an in-house tool kit. Proactively prepare the business for the impact of the changes being delivered (through change programmes and projects) and support continuous improvement
4. Work with programmers and projects teams, and business leads, to development an integrated change and project management life cycles. Ensure there is seamless coordination and alignment between business change and programme/project activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Programme Lead and Head of Change Portfolio you will:
Leadership and delivery � provide visible and effective leadership, lead the business change management activity and work with the programme/project managers to deliver the business case benefits and outcomes. Develop clear vision and standards and use of best practice business change management standards, tools and processes. Build strong networks. Assess and understand the impact on stakeholders to improve the likelihood of their adoption of the change.
5. Change planning � Own the business change plan for programmes/projects and provides input into the overall programme/ project plans. Create and lead on the portfolio change plan.
6. Change Products � Lead the progress of the required business change products for the project/programme. Lead on engagement with all stakeholders internally and externally across the portfolio.
7. Business case � Support programme/project/business leads in delivering high quality business case content, co-ordinating any specialist input regarding business change.
8. Benefits management � Lead benefits realisation across change programmes/projects and understand the impact of all business change activities on benefits management.
9. Business readiness � Lead the creation and management of the business readiness criteria across change programmes /projects. Lead in the 'approve/refuse' go-live decision with the PM�s, business and end users.
10. Change communication � Lead the inclusion of business change communications requirements into programme/ project communications plan. Provides and reviews content for communications relating to business change across programmes/project. �
11. Stakeholder management � Identify, classify, and update stakeholder engagement plan. Lead stakeholder engagement on programmes projects to ensure they meets business change requirements.
12. People management - Provide direction, guidance, coaching and upskilling to project/programme/business teams on all aspects of business change management.

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Essential Criteria:
13. Change management qualifications ( PROSCI, PMI, APMG) or equivalent.
14. Ability to understand new concepts and quickly appreciate what will be needed to deliver the desired outcomes.
15. Ability to work with a range of stakeholders with a broad set of experiences and seniority across MaPS.
16. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure the efficient implementation of business change.
17. Ability to work in very complex project/programme environments.
18. Provide visible leadership in business change management.
19. Ability to work collaboratively.
20. Ability to influence and inspire others.
21. Ability to be innovative and resilient when dealing with resistance to change and challenges.
22. Experience of working in an Arm�s Length Body (ALB) or Government department.
23. Be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to elicit the necessary information from stakeholder to understand the wider context.

�An understanding of the interdependencies between technology, creative, operations and business needs, through strong stakeholder management and relationships.
24. Able to clearly communicate the goals and path to benefits realisation of the change to the organisation.
25. Confidence and credibility to intervene and/or provide constructive challenge to ensure the efficient implementation of business change.
26. Budget and cost management experience.
27. Business planning and KPI setting and monitoring experience.
28. Flexible, collaborative and open working style.

At MaPS, we take pride in our flexible approach to work.� Most of our roles can operate on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. Hybrid working is a voluntary, noncontractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work.
