Power Distribution / Electrical Engineering A well-established and growing engineering business in Limavady is currently seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in LV switchgear to join their commercial team. About the Role: The successful candidate will take the lead in preparing accurate, competitive, and commercially viable estimates for LV switchgear and modular projects. Working closely with internal engineering, procurement, and project management teams, you will play a key role in pricing strategy, client engagement, and delivering high-quality proposals. Key Responsibilities: Interpret client specifications, technical drawings, and tender documentation to prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates. Compile comprehensive cost breakdowns including materials, labour, subcontractor services, and overheads. Liaise with internal teams to gather the technical and logistical inputs required for each estimate. Present estimates and cost models to senior management, contributing to bid strategy discussions. Identify risks, scope changes, and pricing implications throughout the estimation lifecycle. Stay up to date with current industry standards, codes, and pricing trends to ensure competitiveness. Support the wider commercial team with technical guidance and coordination as required. What You'll Need: 5+ years' experience in electrical estimating, with proven expertise in LV switchgear or modular electrical projects. Excellent working knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation methodologies. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation including schematics and specifications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail. Effective communicator who can work across technical and commercial functions. High level of proficiency in estimation tools and software (e.g. AutoCAD, Excel, Microsoft Office). Organised, self-motivated, and capable of handling multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
