We are seeking a dynamic and driven Operations Director to join our client, who are a leading provider of technology solutions in Field Mobility, Data Capture, and Industrial Automation. Renowned for their technical expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction, they serve a wide range of industries, including Aerospace, Retail, Warehousing & Logistics, and Manufacturing .
As they continue to scale, our client is expanding their operations team, including the development of a warehouse and configuration centre. To support this growth, we are seeking an experienced Operations Director who will play a key role in building and leading the operational framework that will drive their next phase of success.
This is a pivotal leadership role. The Operations Director will own all aspects of our operational delivery covering service, logistics, support, HR, finance, and internal processes. Youll be the glue between commercial ambition and operational execution, ensuring we scale sustainably and profitably.

The Basics
Salary is up to £80k depending on background
Location: Office in Hertfordshire, with some flexibility to work from home from time to time
Mon Fri 9:00am 17:00pm

The Responsibilities:
Operational Setup & Leadership : Build and scale core functions including our new warehouse, service centre, and configuration team
Team Development : Structure and lead teams across Sales Operations, Technical Support, Managed Services, HR and Finance
Process & Service Excellence : Drive service performance, OTIF, and customer experience through operational process design and optimisation
Cross-Functional Ownership : Lead all areas outside of Sales and Marketing
Transformation & Growth Support : Support large project mobilisation and post-win scaling
Governance & Reporting : Establish operational KPIs, controls, and reporting frameworks aligned to business targets
The Skills & Requirements:
Proven experience in multi-disciplinary operational leadership roles (Director / GM level)
Track record in scaling service/ops functions within high-growth or transformation environments
Strong background in supply chain, warehousing, and technical service delivery
Practical, hands-on leader with strategic thinking and a strong execution bias
Skilled in coaching, process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma), and cultural change
Able to thrive in entrepreneurial and fast
