Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a finance team, covering payroll, sales ledger, purchase ledger, and credit control
* Ensure the production of accurate management accounts for multiple sites and detailed reporting as required by the business
* Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and successful completion of audits
* Maintain compliance with all statutory and reporting requirements, including HMRC submissions
* Drive continuous improvement and efficiency across the finance function and associated systems
* Support a structured handover with the current Head of Finance, ensuring knowledge transfer and stability
* Provide clear financial insight to the Finance Director, senior leadership, and non‑finance stakeholders
* Play a key role in shaping the ongoing financial strategy within a growing, commercially focused, values‑driven organisation
Qualifications
* Professionally qualified accountant with significant post‑qualification experience and a background in leading operational finance teams
* Strong people‑management skills and ability to coach, develop, and motivate both qualified and non‑qualified staff
* Previous experience within a multi‑site organisation would be ideal
