We are a key partner in the Royal Air Force’s mission to look after its people during and after service, ensuring that this service is valued, recognised, and people are supported even when uniforms are eventually shed. We are a national charity with international reach, delivering emotional, financial and practical support wherever and whenever it is needed. Each year, our vital services and support continued to help those serving, families, veterans, and the bereaved, in 30 other countries and in 2024 more than 64,000 people benefitted from the charity’s work. About the Role The Director of Fundraising is a senior leadership role at the heart of the RAF Benevolent Fund’s mission: ensuring that no member of the RAF Family faces adversity alone. Sitting on the Executive Leadership Team and reporting to the Chief Executive, this role offers a rare opportunity to shape the future of one of the UK’s most respected military charities at a moment of confidence, ambition and readiness to invest. The Fund is seeking a leader who will harness that momentum to build sustainable income growth over the next five years, strengthening the charity’s ability to support serving personnel, veterans and their families in an increasingly complex and demanding world. Working collaboratively across the organisation, the Director will help identify where fundraising can have the greatest impact, balancing opportunity, risk and long-term resilience so the Fund remains a trusted source of lifelong support for the RAF Family.
