Priory Medical Group is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly, supportive, and well-established clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse to play a key role in delivering high-quality primary care services to our patient population.
Main duties of the job
Practice nurse will play a major role in supporting the practice with chronic disease management as per QOF guidelines, administer immunisation for both adult and children and strive to improve standards of care and be involved in identifying practice population needs.

Priory Medical Group is a friendly and well‑organised GP practice serving approximately 15,500 patients across three sites: North Shields, Hadrian Park, and Tynemouth. In collaboration with our Primary Care Network (PCN) colleagues, we also deliver the Extended Access service from Shields Health Hub.
We are a large training practice, supporting GP Registrars, F2 Doctors, and both medical and nursing students.
Our multidisciplinary clinical team includes:
* 7 GP Partners and 6 Salaried GPs
* Physician Associate and Paramedic
* Trainee Advanced Practitioner
* 3 Practice Nurses and 7 Healthcare Assistants
* GP Assistant
* 1 Lead Pharmacist, 2 Pharmacy Technicians and 2 Trainee Pharmacy Technicians
In addition, the practice hosts a First Contact Physiotherapist, Mental Health Practitioner, and a Social Prescribing Link Worker.
We are CQC rated Good and consistently achieve high levels of QOF performance.
Job responsibilities
* Management of patients with long‑term conditions, including diabetes, asthma, and COPD
* Undertaking cervical screening and well‑person checks
* Delivering childhood and adult immunisations and vaccinations
* Wound care, dressings, and infection prevention and control
* Health promotion and lifestyle advice to patients
* Supporting QOF and chronic disease review work
* Working collaboratively with GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, HCAs, pharmacists, and allied healthcare professionals
Personal Specification
* Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
* Experience working within General Practice or Primary Care
* Knowledge and experience of chronic disease management
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
* Experience delivering immunisations and childhood vaccines
* Experience of delivering Travel and adult Vaccinations
* Experience using clinical systems such as SystmOne
* Independent Prescribing qualification, or willingness to undertake training
* Blood Filing
