A Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor is required to join a major organisation based in the South East on a permanent basis. The Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor will be joining an established in-house legal team and handling a range of nationally significant work.
The successful candidate will benefit from flexible working but must attend the office in the South East at least once a week.
This role is ideal for someone with proven experience managing and negotiating Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, including performance monitoring, commercial risk assessment, and stakeholder liaison across public and private sectors.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of PFI contract lifecycle management, especially contract handback, asset condition assessment, and compliance with financial and legal obligations.
Experience in construction law and/or Public Procurement is beneficial but not essential.
Responsibilities include:
1. Advising on engineering and construction matters related to large infrastructure projects within the in-house legal team.
2. Managing the lifecycle of PFI contracts.
3. Drafting, negotiating, and finalizing complex commercial contracts.
4. Providing guidance on public procurement regulations and policies.
5. Handling legal matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
