Position Overview: Prototype Build Technician
As a Prototype Build Technician with an EV focus, you will play a key role in the entire vehicle build process. Your responsibilities include component assembly, sub-assembly, and building entire vehicles from scratch within a bay-build environment. Your Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim skills will contribute to developing future automotive models.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, assemble, and build vehicles, focusing on Mechanical build, Trim, and Final Assembly.
* Perform Mechanical and Electrical assembly tasks, including building components and sub-assemblies.
* Assemble entire vehicles within a bay-build discipline, covering Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim aspects.
* Fit interior Trim packages with precision and attention to detail.
* Utilize your knowledge of EVs and Hybrid vehicles in the prototype process.
* Interpret engineer drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
* Diagnose and log build issues, supporting engineering improvements.
Working Hours:
Day Shift: Monday – Thursday, Friday – (39 hours per week)
Contract Type: Inside IR35 – Initial 6-month contract with potential for extension depending on project needs.
Pay: £ – uplifted pay rate via Umbrella PAYE (includes hourly rate, holiday pay, and payroll contributions)
