AREA SALES MANAGER – SURGICAL MEDICAL DEVICES

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Drives business growth by delivering on budgeted sales objectives while adhering to organizational polices.
* Manages a team of senior executives. Supporting them on their development plans and engages in open and honest conversations.
* Reviews and discuss action plans for achievement of sales budget each month.
* Create and implement plan for conducting promotional activities, develop CRM strategy, and ensure effective execution of marketing strategies from time to time in order to achieve objectives through sales.
* Map potential of territory and relates it to market trends and competitors’ activities.
* Profiles, assesses potential, prepares target list and enlists new doctors as per business requirement.
* Collaborates with government sales teams to ensure product availability and demand generation at the different institutions.
* Builds consistent, long term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders/Key Business leaders in assigned territory by involving them in scientific engagements at regular intervals and through effective coverage at right frequency.
* Follow up with customers to resolve any issues and ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a timely resolution.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, preferably in Life Sciences or Biotechnology.
* Multiyear experience in medical device sales.
* Relevant therapeutic experience in areas such as Sutures, Wound closure, Hernia solutions, and Biosurgery is highly preferred.
* Excellent decision-making and strong financial management skills.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder skills.
