An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative Specialist Family Therapist to join the new north Tri-borough 0-5 pathway. The post-holder will be co-located within the CAMHS teams and will play a key role in developing the systemic offer in collaboration with the pathway lead.
The 0-5 team provides assessment and therapeutic interventions for infants, toddlers, preschool children, and their families during pre and perinatal periods. This service will deliver a comprehensive range of evidence-based assessments, therapeutic interventions, and consultations to professionals working with young children and families.
The post-holder will conduct assessments and deliver systemic psychotherapy for a broad range of presentations in children aged 0-5. They will also provide clinical supervision to other clinicians and trainees, and offer specialist advice and consultation to CAMHS colleagues and external agencies, working autonomously within professional guidelines and team policies.
The role involves conducting complex mental health and systemic therapy assessments, formulating and implementing treatment plans for infants and young children within the context of family and systemic factors. Assessments will be based on appropriate conceptual frameworks, research evidence, and may include rating scales, self-report measures, observations, and interviews with clients and their families.
The post-holder will evaluate treatment options considering various therapeutic models and complex developmental and historical factors. They will be responsible for implementing systemic psychotherapeutic interventions, maintaining multiple hypotheses to inform formulation and treatment planning.
