Exam Invigilators and Supervisors Pool (New applicants 2025)
Applications are invited for the post of Exam Invigilator in the Student Administration section of Academic Services to cover the University’s exam sessions in the 2025/26 academic year. The University holds exam sessions in the spring and summer terms and for two weeks during the summer vacation period. The successful candidates are expected to be reliable, punctual, diligent, good communicators and to remain calm under pressure. Full training will be given.
Responsibilities
* Support examination sessions as required during the 2025/26 academic year, including morning and afternoon sessions.
* Be available for the spring term assessment period and subsequent exam sessions.
* Join a part-time, casual team based in Egham, Surrey with shifts whose end times vary according to exam length.
* Attend mandatory Right to Work checks and training/induction sessions as scheduled.
* Indicate interest in supervisory roles if applicable on the application form.
Qualifications and requirements
* Previous experience in a similar invigilator/supervisor role is useful but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
* Full training will be provided.
* Must be eligible to work in the UK for the duration of employment; a Certificate of Sponsorship is not available for this position.
* Available to commence from 1 December 2025 for a fixed term up to 11 September 2026 (earlier end dates possible).

The 2025/26 exam sessions include:
* Spring Term: 12 – 16 January 2026
* Summer Term: 4 May – 5 June 2026
* Summer Vacation: End of August/Beginning of September 2026
* Candidate availability required from 9:15 am for morning sessions and 1:45 pm for afternoon sessions.

Location: Egham, Surrey. Post type: Variable Hours. This post is based in Egham, near Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
