Job Description:
Over the past 17 years, STAT Northern has solidified a reputation as an industry leader in AT training, thanks to our comprehensive offerings, from mind mapping and audio notetaking to specialist training for visual and hearing impairments.
We are looking for experienced and empathetic Freelance Assistive Technology Trainers to join STAT Northern. This role primarily involves providing online training sessions, with the possibility of some travel, to help students effectively use various Assistive Technology (AT) tools.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and effective AT training sessions.
* Adapt training methods to suit the individual needs of each student.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of various AT packages.
Requirements:
* Experience in using and training in common AT packages.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* A patient and empathetic approach towards students.
* Ability to work flexibly and independently.
* Experience in HI & VI software would be advantageous
* Experience with Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA)
