GCIL.FR/EM/1.25 Personal Assistant (PA) Required
FR is a sociable and energetic young man who enjoys being active and spending time out in the community as well as relaxing at home watching Disney movies or YouTube film clips. He’s looking for a caring and enthusiastic PA to help him maintain his active and fulfilling lifestyle.
A typical day for FR might include attending day centre in the morning, attending the gym/swimming pool or spending time at home watching films, YouTube clips and Bible stories in the afternoon.
It will be your role to support FR to/from his hobbies which include (but not limited to) going to swimming club, bowling, drama club, dancing and the cinema. FR at times may require you to provide gentle reminders to attend the toilet. He can sometimes wander without notice, so it’s your responsibility to always be aware of his whereabouts in the community to keep him safe. Ultimately, it’s your role to encourage FR’s goal to live and feel more independent in his life by fostering a positive and encouraging working relationship.
Responsibilities
* Support FR to participate in activities and hobbies (day centre, gym/swimming, cinema, clubs) as part of a regular routine.
* Provide gentle reminders to attend the toilet when needed and monitor safety while in the community.
* Be aware of FR’s whereabouts to keep him safe and support him to live more independently.
* Foster a positive, encouraging working relationship and promote FR’s independence.
Qualifications
* No specific qualifications required; positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are valued.
* Previous support experience is helpful but not necessary.
* Patience, trustworthiness, enjoy being out and about, and a desire to make a positive difference.
Details
PA role is 8 hours per week @ £14.00 per hour based in Strathbungo (G41).
It’s important you can travel to and from the area reliably.
