GP PRACTICE NURSE – ideally with experience in diabetes care
2 days per week (Wednesday and Thursday but can be discussed)
An exciting vacancy has arisen for an experienced and proactive primary care nurse to join our patient-centred GP practice.
The successful candidate will be able to provide a high quality of care to our patients, treating them with empathy and respect, have good people skills and be able to work well within a small team.
The role
Clinically, the role focuses on the delivery of evidence-based nursing care which includes management of patients with long-term conditions, preventative nursing interventions and general treatment room duties.
Be confident to work independently as the only nurse on duty at times.
Assist the practice and its staff with compliance of infection prevention and control, policies and procedures
Assure clinical safety and drive excellent patient outcomes
Support the practice manager and clinical lead in service delivery
Work collaboratively with the whole practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.

The practice consists of two GP's who have been with the practice for more than 10 years, an experienced practice manager, practice nurse and an HCA, who work alongside our dispensers, receptionists and administrative team.
