Job Overview To assist with the purchasing of materials & services for the company, ensuring best quality, good value prices and timely delivery are all being achieved. Working with direction from the Procurement & Logistics Manager, the role primarily will be data administration, raising orders and liaising with both suppliers and site management. Responsibilities and Duties Responsible for the day to day purchasing tasks as part of a team including; Entering quotations onto Sage Accounting software Ordering materials Follow up on orders placed for ETA dates Pursuing outstanding back ordered materials Receive lists from site manager to send out to suppliers for quotations. Placing order based on best price and lead time. Co-ordinating vehicles - servicing & repairs Manage the MOT and TAX records of all company vehicles, booking MOTs when required and ensuring vehicle TAX is up to date Oversee and enforce company vehicle check records through Velocity. Perform other duties within procurement and logistics to meet company objectives. Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience Experience of Sage Accounts IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office Experience working in a purchasing role Thorough attention to detail Excellent organisational skills A good knowledge of the products Key Contacts Accounts Office Manager Procurement & Logistics Manager Contract Managers Site Managers Accounts Assistant IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The Appointed Procurement Assistant will discuss all elements of the role brief with the appointee on appointment and after six months, recognising that some elements may need changing.
