TRANSPORT OFFICE CLERK
Road Transport Industry experience is preferred for this role.
We have an exciting role for an experience Transport Office Controller working with one of the world’s biggest logistics providers in conjunction with one of the world’s best-known prestige car brands. We are looking for a hard-working,outgoing, ambitious, and flexible individual with a solid work history and strong work ethic. The role will be based at the Erdington site.
This is an on-going agency position with the potential of becoming permanent in the future.
Salary
£34, (40 hrs pw) – £ ph
Hours of work:
Rotating
Week 1 5am-1pm
Week 2 1pm-9pm
Flexibility may be required in terms of moving shifts.
Days of work:
Monday to Friday
The role:
1. Greeting drivers at start of shift, handing out keys and paperwork, checking details
2. Transport industry experience is preferred
3. Tracking vehicles en-route, reporting any delays, time changes or problems to senior staff.
4. Talking to drivers en route and checking load description
5. Route planning and adjusting
6. De-brief at the end of shift, take back keys and paperwork.
7. Data Entry
8. Driver and vehicle management
9. Answer any driver queries
10. Download driver digicard
11. Other duties as required
12. Infringement management
13. Data entry
Required:
14. Transport industry (or similar) experience is essential
15. Ability to work a 2-shift system (mornings/afternoons)
16. Solid work history
17. Excellent work ethic
18. Flexible attitude
19. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office/Word/Excel) – ESSENTIAL
20. Own method of transport is essential or you must live locally
