Antella Travel Recruitment is partnering with one of the UK's leading Destination Management Companies (DMCs), specialising in tailor‑made group travel programmes throughout the UK and Ireland.
Due to continued growth and success within the German speaking market, the client is seeking an experienced German Speaking Account Development Manager to join their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior inbound travel professional looking to take ownership of key accounts, drive revenue growth, and further develop strategic partnerships within the German-speaking travel trade.
The Role
As Account Development Manager, the candidate will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with key German‑speaking tour operators and travel partners, whilst overseeing the creation, costing, and delivery of bespoke group travel programmes throughout the UK and Ireland.
The candidate will play a key role in identifying commercial opportunities, increasing market share, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across your portfolio of accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop strategic relationships with German‑speaking tour operators and travel trade partners.
* Drive sales growth and maximise revenue opportunities within your allocated accounts.
* Oversee the preparation, costing, and quotation of bespoke group travel programmes across the UK and Ireland.
* Identify and secure new business opportunities within the German market.
* Negotiate rates and commercial agreements with suppliers to ensure competitive and profitable proposals.
* Work closely with operations and product teams to ensure seamless delivery of client programmes.
* Represent the business at trade shows, client meetings, sales visits, and industry events.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to support business growth.
* Significant experience within UK & Ireland inbound tourism, DMCs, or group travel.
* Proven account management or business development experience within the travel industry.
* Strong relationships within the German‑speaking tour operators and travel trade partners.
* Fluent German and English language skills.
* Commercially focused with strong negotiation and relationship management abilities.
* Excellent destination knowledge of the UK and Ireland.
* Able to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
