GSL Education are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Nottingham from September 2025. This role provides tailored support to a pupil with special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide personalised, one-to-one support for a pupil with SEND. Assist the pupil in accessing lessons and participating fully in classroom activities. Implement strategies to support the child’s academic, social, and emotional development. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to monitor progress and adapt support as needed. Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Requirements for 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a 1:1 setting. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach. Strong communication and collaboration skills. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
