Overview
Metrology & Test Systems Engineer at Fluke Corporation. Responsible for the development and calibration procedures, automation, analysis, validation and engineering for infrared temperature measurement instrumentation.
Responsibilities
* Develop calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy and precision requirements primarily for Infrared Radiation and Thermography related measurements.
* Develop automated calibration procedures
* Design calibration test systems for the calibration of Fluke products
* Maintain and troubleshoot calibration test systems
* Perform calibrations to transfer traceability from Primary Standards to Laboratory Working Standards
* Perform uncertainty analysis in support accredited calibrations
* Support design engineers in development of metrological specifications for new products
* Develop control charts and statistical process control for calibration standards
* Look for ways to improve the calibration process
Qualifications
* A bachelor’s degree in physics is preferred or a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with RF and optics emphasis
* Solid higher-level math skills such as calculus and application of numerical methods
* Ability to write code for measurement automation for data analysis, process control and calibration procedure development
* Experience in an ISO 17025 accredited lab strongly preferred
