Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Building and Maintenance Contract Manager based in Glasgow, primarily on sites across Scotland. The Contract Manager will oversee and coordinate maintenance and construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities include liaising with clients, managing contracts, supervising subcontractors, scheduling work, and ensuring quality standards. The role also involves monitoring budgets, preparing reports, and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and project success.
Qualifications
* Experience in repairs management and contract management expertise, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
* Strong knowledge of building maintenance, construction processes, and health & safety regulations
* Effective team leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management abilities
* Proficiency in using project management tools and systems for tracking progress and performance
* Ability to work flexibly in a hybrid work environment and oversee on-site and remote teams effectively
* Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
* Prior experience working with social housing providers or local authorities is advantageous
* Salary £46,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
