The Opportunity/Role
The Goods In Operator is responsible for the accurate receipt and storage of both manufactured and purchased stocks. Responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring full compliance with Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) management policy, procedures, and systems.
* Working as part of a team to achieve OTIF – ON TIME IN FULL delivery targets, within agreed quality and productivity standards.
* Picking and packing products within agreed lead times using handheld & barcode devices to maintain excellent customer service levels.
* Assisting with the unloading of vehicles and checking in stock.
* Carrying out duties as a Warehouse Operative effectively and efficiently.
* Safely operating a forklift truck within Warehouse 2 – training provided.
* Driving the company flatbed truck to deliver/collect goods from local suppliers.
* Performing warehouse inventory controls via scanner and/or computer.
* Attending and assisting with regular stock checks, including annual stock takes.
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Attendance bonus: £300 per quarter (subject to 100% attendance)
Requirements:
* A counterbalance forklift license would be desirable.
* A full UK Driving License is essential, as driving duties may be required.
* Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
