Primary Teaching Assistant – KS2 (Year 5) – Bournemouth, Dorset Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in the classroom? GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive KS2 Year 5 class in a welcoming primary school in Bournemouth. This is a full-time position starting in September 2025. Prior experience supporting children is essential for this role. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a school tour prior to the formal interview process. Interviews are scheduled to take place in the coming weeks. Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to the KS2 curriculum. Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping to reinforce learning objectives. Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and maintain a positive learning environment. Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and social development within the school day. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff. Contribute to the overall wellbeing and behaviour management of pupils in the classroom. Requirements: Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting is essential. A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward pupil development. Availability for a school tour and formal interview process as part of the recruitment. An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
