Solutions Architect | Northampton | Permanent
£50,000-£55,000 per annum (DOE plus uncapped annual bonus, typically ranging from 5%-15% of basic salary)
Portman Finance Group are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Solutions Architect to join our growing technical team. This role will be responsible for understanding business requirements, designing technical solutions and getting stuck into the development/implementation of the technical solutions. This role also has an analytical requirement which includes reporting on company-wide data using SQL (via Zoho Analytics) primarily within our CRM (Zoho) to provide valuable insights to drive business decisions such as driving more customer engagement, increasing sales output and optimising marketing strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with CRM system development (preferably Zoho), and a passion for using data to improve business processes and be able to confidently present conclusions/solutions to the Tech Manager and COO.
The candidate should have CRM development experience in order to maintain/update existing data by creating functions within Zoho CRM. Zoho’s native low-code language is Deluge, however experience in using Javascript, Python or similar low-code languages such as Apex will be highly transferable. There is an expectation that the candidate will be able to design and implement technical solutions from any conclusions they have drawn from their own data analysis exercises.
The Solutions Architect will be an integral part of a highly efficient and respected technical team working alongside Machine Learning expertise, experienced software developers and technical support. The ability to communicate and work effectively within a team is essential, as such the ideal candidate should be confident, engaging and personable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Scope, design and implement technical solutions utilising Portman’s tech stack.
* Identify opportunities to automate business processes, improve CRM functionalities and general system workflows.
* Use SQL to develop and generate reports, dashboards, and visualisations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
* Analyse CRM data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business strategy, sales efforts, and marketing campaigns.
* Draw actionable conclusions from data analysis and articulate findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
* Collaborate with various departments to understand their reporting needs, identify automation opportunities and provide data-driven solutions.
* Contribute to the development and customisation of the Zoho CRM system (if required).
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a combination of business analysis/engineer, CRM development, solution architecture roles.
* Proven experience in building reports and drawing meaningful conclusions from data.
* Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in SQL.
* Software development experience (Javascript, Python, Deluge experience is desired).
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data in a simple and understandable way.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Zoho Analytics)
* CRM Development Experience (Salesforce, Zoho, Microsoft Dynamics)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Experience with Zoho CRM (highly desirable).
* Experience in the finance industry.
