CAMHS Clinician
The closing date is 22 June 2025
North Yorkshire and York Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services are seeking to recruit a CAMHS Clinician to work in Harrogate. This post requires the candidate to have a professional registration in child, mental health, or learning disability nursing, social work, or occupational therapy.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, well-motivated, forward-thinking clinician to work as part of our team - working with young people with mental health problems living in the Harrogate District.
This post is a Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm role.
Main duties of the job
The team is multi-disciplinary, small but busy. Providing specialist assessments, treatment, and interventions for young people suffering from moderate to severe complex emotional, behavioural, and psychological issues resulting in mental health problems.
Ideally, the successful applicant will already be trained in evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, or FT, or be trained as a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP), or be experienced in assessing and treating common neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD. Experience working clinically with children and young people with mental health and neurodevelopmental needs is essential.
The team can support staff development and offer additional training relevant to the role.
If you enjoy working within a passionate team, face challenges, and have a flexible approach, we would like to hear from you. You will work as part of a team but need to be confident in your clinical decision-making. You will collaborate with professionals from social care, acute care, and community and voluntary sectors.
