HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER
Hours: MONDAY TO FRIDAY: VARIOUS SHIFT PATTERNS AVAILBLE - 24/7 OPERATIONS
Pay Rate: £16.50 - £17.50 PER HOUR
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Minworth, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Day to Day Duties:
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
* Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
* Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
* Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
* Use of electric or manual pump truck
* Tail lift usage
* Normally 2 trips per shift
* Normally 7-8 deliveries/ collections
Essential Skills:
As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
* Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
* Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving CE vehicles
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
* Minimum of 30 days of driving in the last 90 days
* Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
* Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
* Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
* Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
* Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
* Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
* Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial
Training:
* Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
