FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Benefits and Metrics Lead to work for our client within the defence sector. This is initially a 9-month contract with the potential to extend and will be mostly remote with some occasional travel to London or Corsham.
Our client is seeking a Benefits and Metrics Lead with at least 10 years of experience in the development and implementation of management information processes and products related to benefits realisation. As part of a 5 year data strategy, the programme's aim is to implement an effective data fabric at an enterprise level while also improving a data culture across the organisation. The programme is now at a stage where it needs to effectively manage and track benefits to ensure the programme is delivering on some of its key goals and targets.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and support a benefits realisation framework for the programme, ensuring it is fit for purpose
2. Developing the programme benefit map against funding, programme delivery, interdependencies and realisation plans
3. Provide cost and benefit analysis data to support benefit realisation
4. Support business change development linking to benefit management and value for money
5. Monitor the ongoing benefits realisation framework and associated plans and review schedules.
6. Ensures benefit owners are in place and benefits are profiled, communicated and understood and managed within programme and when transferring to BAU
7. Working with senior colleagues within the Data Programme to develop one view of identified benefits across all work streams and monitor progress, providing an early alert to senior colleagues, Head of Delivery and the Chief Data Officer to any areas of benefit variation or deviation
8. Ensures benefit reviews are held to provide assurance to the Strategic Improvement Board on benefit realisation
9. Reports to associated governance boards on benefit realisation plans
10. Monitors benefit relation activity after project/programme completion
11. Identify, record, manage and report on the risks which may prevent improvement programmes for achieving their anticipated benefits and identify mitigating actions
