Senior House keeper required for Neuroscience Red & HC Ward.
We are a friendly and supportive team, based at the John Radcliffe Hospital. The post holder will be responsible for the ordering of ward stores and equipment as well as maintaining vital stock levels and ensuring high standards of hygiene throughout the ward in conjunction with our cleaning team. You will also assist with patient menus and meal times.
Main duties of the job
TheSenior Housekeeper in Neuroscience Red & High Careis responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control in the critical care environment. This position ensures a clean, safe, and comfortable setting for both patients and staff. The Senior Housekeeper assist the unit manager in promoting infection control protocols, supervises cleaning duties, and ensures compliance with hospital regulations. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The main responsibilities of Housekeepers are:
* To work as an integral part of the Ward team ensuring a high-quality service to patients and to provide a service that ensures that the patients’ needs are satisfied, and Ward requirements are met.
* To assist the Ward Manager to ensure the appropriate and effective delivery of facilities services to properly maintain the patient environment.
* Maintain accurate recork keeping and assist in hospital audits and inspections to ensure cleanliness and infection control standards are met.
* To supervise an effective waste segregation and disposal service ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and legislation.
* Maintain equipment and ensure they are clean and in good working order
* Monitor inventory and ensure stocks and supplies are always available.
* Order new supplies as necessary to maintain adequate stock.
* Oversee purchasing of supplies, products and equipment as needed.
* To work as an integral part of the team in creating a safe, clean, and calming environment for patients and visitor .
