What you’ll be doing
as a Regulatory Information Manager
1. Assure the preparation of regulatory responses and submissions to the Environment Agency, ensuring factual accuracy, completeness, and alignment with company values.
2. Critically review and approve team submissions as the final stage of assurance before external submission.
3. Line manage and develop a team of Regulatory Advisors, providing coaching, feedback, and support for professional growth.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, the legal team, senior leadership, and external partners such as the Environment Agency and Eversheds
5. Oversee development of team procedures, ensuring adherence to best practice and regulatory requirements, as well as risks and controls of processes.
6. Facilitate business-wide learning from compliance incidents
7. Horizon scan regulatory changes and feed insights to the Reg Information and Enforcement Manager.
Base location – Hybrid – Clear Water Court, Vastern Road, Reading
Working pattern – 36 hours
What you should bring to the role
The essential criteria to help you succeed in this role are:
8. An Environmental Science, Legal, Investigative degree or equivalent qualification
9. Experience of working within environmental compliance, environmental risk & assurance or environmental audit
10. High level of professional writing skills
11. Ability to coach, support, and develop their team
12. Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and senior management, ensuring that everyone is on the same page and understands their responsibilities
Extra qualities that would be a great fit for our team:
13. Previous experience of working with regulatory enforcement
14. Relevant experience in an applicable sector, operational role, technical position or knowledge of wastewater and/or clean water processes would be advantageous
