About the Opportunity

The role is very versatile as you will be dealing with a range of customer request whilst representing Kuhner Shaker Limited. You will have the opportunity to work on high performance machinery. You will also be engaging with customers about their scientific goals, applications and how we can offer solutions for them. Your day to day will vary as you may be carrying out a simple PM and calibration visit, carrying out a repair on high end equipment, executing an IQ/OQ, or installing new customer equipment. You will also be required to help with responding to calls and emails, issuing quotations, and arranging visits to customer sites. This is a customer‑facing position and will be required to maintain a professional, positive, polite, and personable demeanour with our valued customers. You will mainly be working at our customer sites, with occasional time in the office. You will be required to occasionally stay away from home for short periods. You will also be required to attend training sessions at either our head office in Switzerland or the training centre in Spain. You may be asked to help other regions if cover is required (e.g. Ireland). You will be provided with either a company car allowance or company car, a competitive salary, company pension, and good holiday entitlement.

Summary of Tasks
* Perform on site PM service and repairs on the full range of Kuhner equipment
* Carry out IQ/OQs
* Carry out installs of new equipment
* Respond to customer requests for technical product information (email, phone, in person)
* Gain an in‑depth knowledge of the Kuhner portfolio
* Deliver training on proper use of equipment
* Complete and submit service and breakdown reports in a timely manner
* Document and report customer interactions
* Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and implement any required actions
* Maintain an inventory of equipment and stock
* Organise recalibration of testing equipment
* Promote Kuhner’s products and services based on customer needs and advise the sales team of any future leads
* Attend ongoing training at our head office in Switzerland and training centre in Spain
Requirements
* Knowledge / experience in the Life Sciences / Biotech Industry preferred
* Bioengineering or field service experience of at least 2 years
* Fault Finding experience of at least 1 year
* Knowledge of IQ/OQ validation would be advantageous
* Knowledge of GMP would be advantageous
* Solid mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills, ability to understand how equipment works and use sound technical judgement to identify and solve mechanical problems, ability to understand simple circuit diagrams would be advantageous
* Physically able to install and move equipment using a pallet truck
* Bend, squat, kneel, reach, or climb a step ladder while using small hand tools and installing parts
* Highly organised, flexible, and capable of balancing different customer requests simultaneously
* Ability to build rapport
* Ability to use software such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Zoho CRM, Dext
* PC skills proficient with some knowledge of networking would be advantageous
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long lasting relationships (in person, telephone, and via email)
