Product Owner - Salary Circa £60,000 | 12 months Fixed-term contract

We are looking for individuals to play this vital role in a high-profile programme. This is a unique opportunity to be in the centre of an exciting and challenging change, develop in-depth knowledge of the claims system, and drive real value. The Commercial Property programme aims to transform Commercial Property Claims into a data led function and the best in the market. This involves building new functionality, changing process, and developing new capabilities, using technology, data, and advanced analytics.
Responsibilities
* Deliver new products that align with the sponsor's vision, including IT, process changes, data, and analytics models. Investment is typically £1m to £3m.
* Inspire the delivery team, secure buy-in, and build a clear product roadmap.
* Collaborate with other development teams to ensure the roadmap and product value are understood across the system.
* Optimize product development with sponsors and SMEs, make key decisions, and unblock issues to support the team.
* Proactively manage stakeholders and demonstrate energy to motivate the team.
* Contribute to the wider Product Owner community by sharing ideas and best practices.
Skills and experience
* Proven track record of change delivery within a PO or similar role, preferably with General Insurance knowledge and understanding of the claims value chain.
* Experience in operations (particularly in financial services) would be valuable.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word; Jira and Confluence are beneficial.
* Proactive, tenacious, with strong problem-solving skills, lateral thinking, and the ability to embrace and support change.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal abilities, and a team player mentality with a willingness to learn and help others.
What you’ll get for this role
* Starting salary circa £60,000 (depends on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
