* Role Title: Lecturer in Technical Construction
* Location: Bersham Road, Wrexham
* Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
* Salary Scale: £33,596 – £51,932 (pro‑rata based on assessment)
Overview of Role
As a Lecturer you will teach and inspire learners across a range of built‑environment subjects. Your core responsibilities include:
* Deliver scheduled teaching and prepare engaging learning materials
* Mark student work and provide constructive feedback
* Support students through educational guidance, support and counselling
* Coordinate exam invigilation and liaise with awarding bodies
* Collaborate with tutors in other business areas on resources, curriculum development and student reporting
* Produce necessary documentation such as registers, schemes of work, course reviews, student reports and absence reports
* Participate in marketing, planning, assessment and evaluation of course provision
* Maintain high quality teaching standards and support the learning needs of all students
Requirements
* Qualified to at least Level 3 in a relevant specialist area
* Preferably a qualified teacher holding a PGCE, Cert Ed, C&G 7407 or willing to work towards one of these
* Ability to develop and apply a range of teaching techniques and prepare effective written and visual materials
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a strong team spirit, with energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment
* Proficiency with MS Office and, ideally, Google applications and digital resources
* Welsh skills are essential for this specific post
* Willingness to support bilingual provision and service development
* Potential to register with the Education Workforce Council if required
