We are recruiting a Receivables & Banking Assistant to join our growing team! You'll play a key role, maintaining financial accuracy by reconciling balance sheets, rent and service charges, while managing ledger transactions including income postings and invoicing. Proactively investigating and resolving discrepancies and acting as a trusted point of contact to stakeholders. Duties include: Process all transactional entries in the finance ledger that fall within the remit of the role. Ensure posting of manual and electronic income files are undertaken in a timely manner. Perform balance sheet, banking, rent, and service charge reconciliations on a regular basis. Issue credit card statements to card holders and post to ledgers. Investigate discrepancies and recommend appropriate solutions. Ensure any unpaid invoices are followed through the recovery process. Provide rent & service charge information in relation to relets. Liaise with colleagues across the business to ensure accurate information is reported. Ensure any charges raised to accounts have had the appropriate delegated authority sign-off. Requirements GCSE level English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent. Experience of handling / analysing financial transactions and reconciling. Good understanding of basic accounting principles. Knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills, with the ability to confidently explain information clearly and concisely. Studying towards AAT or equivalent (desirable) Housing sector experience (desirable) Right to Work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available.
