Location : Remote with travel to client site monthly (Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle)
Day Rate : £405p/d - Inside IR35
Duration : 2 year contract (6 month work packages)
Security Clearance : Active SC clearance
About the Role
We're looking for a user-focused Interaction Designer to help shape intuitive, accessible, and inclusive digital services that meet the needs of citizens. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll design end-to-end user journeys that align with Government Digital Service (GDS) principles, ensuring services are simple to use and deliver real public value.
Key Responsibilities
Design user-centred interfaces and interactions across web and mobile platforms
Collaborate with researchers, developers, and service designers to iterate based on user feedback
Apply GDS design patterns and accessibility standards to ensure consistency and usability
Create prototypes and wireframes to test and communicate design ideas
Champion design thinking and contribute to design critiques and community practices
Support service assessments and ensure designs meet GDS service standards
