ABOUT THE ROLE
The Patient Services Administrator is essential to our organisation, responsible for patient admissions, discharges, and referrals at the end of their care pathway with us.
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Stepping Hill Hospital - Audiology Dept, Stockport, SK2 7JE
Responsibilities include:
* Processing patient notes following triage to accept or refer patients to other care providers
* Utilising the National E-Referral Service
* Updating patient administration systems
* Responding to GP/hospital/laboratory queries via telephone and email
* Reviewing patient outcome reports and acting accordingly
* Chasing laboratories for outstanding histology results
* Managing departmental actions in line with KPIs
* Updating patient care trackers using Microsoft Excel
* Booking and rescheduling patient appointments
Candidate Requirements:
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Friendly and confident telephone manner
* Proactive initiative-taking ability
