Job Description
We’re looking for a determined, creative and resilient individual to lead on securing sponsorship and external funding to support some of Cambridge’s most iconic cultural events, including the Cambridge Folk Festival, Cambridge Corn Exchange, Guildhalls programme, and the City Events programme. You’ll take ownership of identifying and approaching potential sponsors and funders, developing proposals, and building meaningful partnerships that help sustain and grow these much-loved events.
Working closely with event leads, the Audience Development Officer, the Creative Partnership team and others, you’ll also identify potential grant funders and lead on the development of successful bids. As our in‑house expert in fundraising and sponsorship, you’ll provide advice and support to managers and colleagues across the service, helping to shape our approach to partnership working and income generation.
Required experience: sponsorship, fundraising or partnership development, ideally within the arts, culture or events sectors. You should be passionate about community events in Cambridge and driven to make a real difference, helping ensure the city’s festivals and programmes continue to thrive and inspire for years to come.

Schedule and Contract
* Hours: 29.6 hours per week
* Working pattern: 4 days (some weekends required)
* Contract: Permanent
* Location: Hybrid working between Cambridge office (Parsons Court) and home
* Salary: £37,280 – £41,771 per annum (City Pay Band 5), pro‑rata for part‑time
* Package: Part‑time basis, 37 contractual hours
