Job Overview
1. The scope of work entails providing project management to assigned projects. This includes (but not limited to):
2. Manage EPC projects from inception through closeout.
3. Manage project cost and schedule
4. Manage/administer EPC contracts
5. Review invoices and track purchase orders as per approved budget
6. Drive EPC vendors to ensure projects meet requirements with respect to budget, schedule, safety, and quality
7. Perform any required liaising activities between our client and vendor stakeholders
8. Manage risks and mitigation plans, maintain a risk register for assigned projects
9. Develop business case summaries to request funds for assigned projects
10. Develop monthly forecasts for the project life cycle
11. Fulfill Field team Lead and Mod Team Lead role in support of execution
12. Interface with the station
13. Mentor and coach junior staff
14. Support Section Manager in administrative tasks
Qualifications
15. The candidate should have minimum 10 years’ experience in project management in large projects / programs with
16. Major emphasis on activities related to installation, commissioning, risk management and cost & schedule management
17. Experience with electrical systems and components, preferably knowledge of major manufacturers’ equipment
18. Ability to prepare estimates, schedules, execution plans, contracting strategies, business planning, forecasting
19. Knowledge of ECC process would be an asset
20. A combination of Work planning, MTL/FTL experience, project Management, Risk management skills
21. Strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
22. A Professional Engineers of Ontario (P.Eng.) designation (or equivalent) and a Project Management Professional (PMP) would be great assets.
