/ Position: Technical Delivery Manager
/ Location: Client Site (Lincolnshire) or Farnborough (Hybrid working can be agreed)
/ Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 Hours per week
/ Contract: Fixed-term Contract of 1 Year
Gama Aviation are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis for 1 year with the possibility of long-term extension, whereby you will be providing cover on a high-profile government aviation programme within a secure and highly regulated environment. The role can be based at our client operations in Lincolnshire or at our HQ in Farnborough, with an expectation of flexibility to travel between these locations and to other UK sites as required. Occasional deployment or travel may also be necessary, subject to operational need.
The role will take responsibility for managing the full project lifecycle, acting as the primary interface between client stakeholders, internal teams, and end users, while ensuring contractual, commercial, and operational requirements are delivered in line with agreed objectives. It operates within a fast‑paced project environment that directly supports national security and the country’s interests.
This varied opportunity would suit an individual with defence aviation, military, or aircraft engineering project management experience, who is comfortable operating within structured governance and security frameworks.

Responsibilities
* Liaising with client’s management team and stake holders regularly in the monitoring and managing of contractual KPIs
* Ensure contract payments are made and claimed on time using mutually agreed payment systems
* Act as Gama representative between client and end user where appropriate to maintain Gama’s interests
* Report/review on the contract internally/externally on a monthly/quarterly basis, with assistance from Gama accounts
* Liaise with Gama commercial and supply chain to ensure client demands for the procurement, purchase of ad-hoc stores and equipment are properly quoted, delivered and commercially reconciled
* Manage customer and stakeholder relations
* Risk management of project
* Additional Contract Work (Task Authorisation Forms -TAF’s)
* Receive, manage, plan additional contract work
* Scope costs, submit proposals, authorise payments to third parties
* Continuously review planned and work in progress to ensure any provisions by Gama in excess of the contract requirement are captured and reconciled
* Liaise with the customer and Gama engineers to answer ad-hoc queries from Prime and MoD
* Support/lead proposed moves to new operating locations, including the uplift in equipment and spares
* Ensure all sites undertaking work are suitably secured to satisfy contract requirements and undertake regular reviews to ensure standards are maintained
Skills, Qualifications and Experience required
Essential
* Proven project management experience within defence aviation or a military environment
* Demonstrable experience in the successful delivery of change/risk and resource management
* Strong commercial awareness, including costings, quotations, and contract variations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong IT capability, including Excel and presentation tools
* Willingness to travel regularly within the UK, with occasional international travel
* UK national with eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC)
Advantageous
* Engineering or aircraft-related project management experience
* Strong understanding of how military and government organisations operate
