Aramark UK is proud to support the Defence sector, and we’re looking for a General Service Assistant to join our team at Claro Barracks. If you’re passionate about great service and want to be part of a team that makes a difference every day, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a General Service Assistant, you’ll be front and centre in delivering a welcoming experience to our customers. Your day-to-day will include:
* Serve food and beverages to customers
* Clean back of house areas, crockery, and cutlery
* Clean and tidy counter, light equipment/machines, preparation, and public areas
* Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services
* Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise
* Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during the work
* Perform daily paperwork
* Keeps diligent records as required
* Follow food hygiene and safety procedures.

What We’re Looking For
* A friendly, customer-focused attitude
* Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a bonus – but not essential, full training provided
* Must be 18+
* Eligibility to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years (security clearance required)
* Food hygiene certificate - Level 2 desirable. Relevant training will be provided
* Basic numeracy skills.
* Own or reliable transport required due to remote location and limited public transport
* Ability to work a variety of shifts.
