We’re proud to be working with a warm, welcoming Special School in Sheffield that provides exceptional education and care for secondary and post-16 students with complex needs. The school is seeking a skilled SEND Teaching Assistant to join their outstanding team.

The Role:
As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Deliver tailored support to students with complex physical, cognitive, and sensory needs
* Support the delivery of individualised, multi-sensory learning programmes
* Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and external professionals
* Assist with personal care, communication support, feeding, and mobility
* Promote social interaction, life skills, and emotional well-being
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive classroom that promotes dignity and respect
* Build meaningful, trusting relationships with students and their families
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is truly passionate about supporting learners with high needs. The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience supporting students with PMLD or SLD, ideally in a special school or SEND provision
* A confident, calm, and compassionate approach
* The ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals and families
* A proactive mindset and a commitment to inclusive practice
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
* In-date Moving and Handling training – this is essential for this role
