Location: Crook
Hourly Rate: £15 per hour including 20% shift allowance
Shifts: Rotating shifts – 6am–2pm and 2pm-12am

A well-established engineering and fabrication business based in Crook is currently looking to recruit a skilled Welder to join their experienced production team.
The company specialises in high-quality tubular fabrication used in safety-critical applications and has built a strong reputation within its sector for precision and reliability.
They currently employ around 25 welders and have excellent staff retention, with the previous vacancy arising after a long period without staff turnover. The workshop is clean, organised and well-equipped, providing welders with high-quality equipment and air-fed masks to ensure safe and comfortable working conditions.

Job Description:
The Welder role involves specialist tubular welding within a busy fabrication workshop.
This Welder position focuses primarily on MIG welding of tubular components, with TIG and TIP TIG processes also used within the workshop.
As a Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on tubular assemblies used in safety-critical applications. The work requires precision, including full penetration welds on rails and tubular structures.
Daily responsibilities will include reading engineering drawings, preparing materials, carrying out welding operations and ensuring weld quality meets required standards with minimal spatter or rework.
This Welder role would suit someone with experience in tubular fabrication who enjoys working in a well-run workshop environment focused on quality.
Skills & Experience:
To be considered for this Welder role, candidates should ideally have:
* MIG welding experience (essential)
* Experience welding tubular components
* TIG welding experience (beneficial)
* Experience within tubular fabrication or rail welding (advantageous)
* Ability to produce clean, high-quality welds
* Good attention to detail when working on safety-critical components
* Ability to read engineering drawings
