Why This Role Matters
Client Services (50%): the Client Service Representative represents Christie’s to clients and the public, embodying the business’ core values and upholding our Client Service Standards. The Representative handles a variety of client queries in person, on the telephone, and via email as the first point of contact related to all transactional aspects of bidding, buying, selling and locating property in upcoming sales.
Inventory (50%): the main accountabilities are to facilitate the clearance of aged inventory of Christie’s CEMEA warehouses. The person in this role will follow inventory clearance procedures to ensure inventory is cleared in adherence to the law and Christie’s policies, while ensuring the application of client service processes in relation to them.
How You'll Make an Impact
Client Services
* Switchboard operator: manage, filter, and forward external calls; take messages for employees
* Office and Security: manage office supplies stock by ordering and maintaining consistency
* Daily closing of the building and vault; register external visitors and distribute temporary badges
* Mail: receipt and redistribution of incoming mail
* Reception: welcome visitors and guide them about our services
* Catalogues: advise on catalogue subscriptions and online orders; explain procedures
* Lobby: ensure boardroom/viewing room availability and keep public and internal areas clean and orderly
* Info Switzerland mailbox management
* Register live and online activities onsite and remotely; support senior SO for live/online pre-sale service needs for CEMEA sales
* Create and update client profiles in COS
* Cashier and Collection: manage petty cash for in-house payments and after-sale payments; handle pickup requests
* Hotel Collaboration: negotiate annual hotel rates and liaise with stakeholders for bookings
* Ensure availability on Egencia platform for international staff during biannual sales
* Handle general client enquiries across channels following departmental guidelines
* Adhere to Client Service Standards for view/auction information and bidding, payments, and account matters
* Other duties as assigned by Manager
Stock and Inventory clearance
* Follow inventory clearance process and contact clients regarding items marked for clearance
* Check and manage payment status
* Request site transfers and shipping costs as needed for returning property
* Report to Inventory Control Coordinator regularly
* Arrange payment for unsettled charges and complex client queries outside of clearance
* Update Christie’s client system with results and CTL
* Comply with Christie’s data protection and client confidentiality policies
* Pull reports from Tableau and analyze data
* Address client queries and escalate issues as appropriate
* Maintain detailed statistics on client contact and tasks; provide regular reports to line manager
