Finance Assistant (Part-Time, 12 hours per week)
We are now looking for a reliable and organised Finance Assistant to join our administrative team and support the school’s growing financial and operational needs.

Contract: Permanent, part-time (12 hours per week, flexible days from Monday to Thursday)- TERM TIME ONLY
Salary and conditions:
1. 42 weeks per year. 5.6 weeks paid leave.
2. Salary £9,139.20 including holiday pay.
3. FTE £33,280

The Role
Working under the supervision of the Business Manager, you will:
•Prepare and issue invoices for tuition fees, day release programmes, wraparound care, and other school services
•Assist with budget preparation and annual financial reports
•Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end reconciliations
•Liaise with parents and suppliers regarding payments and billing queries
•Support the Business Manager and Headteacher with other financial and administrative tasks as needed
•Manage the monthly payroll
•Process invoices to suppliers
Our Nursery offers the 15 and 30 hours of government-funded childcare, and familiarity with this system would be a strong advantage. Experience with Funding Loop or similar nursery management software (e.g. Famly, Connect Childcare, Blossom, etc.) would be highly valued.
Experience
•Experience processing payroll desirable but training can be given.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
•Meticulous, organised, and confident working with numbers
•Experienced with Excel, Google Sheets, and online invoicing systems (QuickBooks experience a plus)
•A clear and tactful communicator, both spoken and written
•Able to work independently while contributing to a small, supportive team
•Ideally bilingual in French and English, or comfortable working in a bilingual environment
Experience in a school, nursery, or small charity setting would be an advantage, but training and support will be provided.
