Leep Utilities – Network adoptions done right

Department: Sales

Reports to: Head of Sales

Salary: up to £55k DOE pending experience

Location: Manchester/Reading / Hybrid


The Opportunity

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll grow our network adoption portfolio by building strong client relationships and converting opportunities into commercially robust wins. You’ll be accountable for the end‑to‑end sales process, from prospecting to operational handover, collaborating closely with Marketing, Business Development and Operations to lead opportunities into successful projects.


Key Responsibilities

* Building and developing relationships with Developers, Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), Self-Lay Providers (SLP) and M&E consultants both new and existing.
* Accountable for building out the sales pipeline through prospecting and networking.
* Working with the wider Business Development (BD) team to develop sales and marketing growth strategies and plans.
* Negotiating with Business Owners/Directors/Finance/Procurement/Energy Managers to maximise commercial terms.
* Manage end-to-end sales process, from prospecting through to operations handover.
* Working closely with operations team to understand client requirements and potential solutions for project delivery.
* Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate.
* Use of social media platforms to help Leep brand awareness.


About You

* Previous sales experience and understanding of the NAV/IDNO/DNO market
* Excellent communication skills
* IT skills, competent in Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel
* The ability to build relationships with people at all levels and manage stakeholders
* Strong problem-solving and creative skills
* An ability to stay calm under pressure and keep to deadlines
* Strong sales and negotiation techniques
* A solid knowledge in electrical & water networks
* Awareness of commercial risk and experience of mitigating risks
* A flexible approach to travel, work location and hours
